Rumored Apple iSight HD Webcam

January 4, 2009

We all loved that old Apple iSight Webcam. They began at about $100 and they can be found on eBay and Amazon for up to $600! Could our favorite old webcam be coming back? Inside a hidden file in OS X says:

See for yourself… could this be Mac OS X’s newest release at MacWorld? We’ll just have to wait and see

Zune News

January 1, 2009

I was recently told by my father about the Zune and how many of them stopped working last night. Last night was New Year’s Eve, last day of 2008. I was contimplating this and thought “Is Microsoft doing this for job security, to make more money, or what are they thinking?” So, I am asking you. What do you think?

What do You do with Bad Christmas Gifts?

December 26, 2008

Over the years, I’ve received many bad Christmas gifts. Some I was offended by, some I just thought were plain out stupid. Many people suggest that you keep it,because it is the thought that counts, despite that, I usually return them anyway. I remember when I was about 7 years old and I would get gifts that I really hated and my parents would give them away to other people. This really annoyed me… I didn’t even get any compensation for the gifts, or told that they were being given away. What do you do with bad Christmas gifts? I am really curious…

Where Have the Old Videos Gone?

December 24, 2008

It’s true. I’ve privitized all of my old videos. They seem to be losing me subscribers, and just plain out stupid! I couldn’t talk right when I was in my old videos, so for now they are gone. I will be doing more tutorials on vista, so watch out! I apologize, but these videos were just asking for hate and 1/2 of my comments said “Learn to talk you little brit”. I was just sick of it. I apologize if you needed to see any of those videos.

Why I HATE WordPress 2.7

December 19, 2008

<my-thoughts-on wp-2.7>

I HATE the new WordPress installation! 2.7 is the worst ever! It is so throttling on my server-it used to go down every 24 hours from WordPress. I do have a lot of plugins, but still, it is crazy to go down that much! It has a crappy interface too… I liked the old one. There is no Manage tab so I can’t change my plugins around!

How to Land in Microsoft Flight Simulator X

December 14, 2008

Landing is the hardest part of flying, anywhere. You need to be able to get it just right, and not use the entire runway. I have developed a guide to help you land, no matter the runway length or the runway size or location.Though landing begins 50 miles out from the airport, I am going to cover the closest 5 miles.  First, I am going to assume that you are in the  air. You are 10 miles away from the airport. Reduce thrust to maintain 100 knots (this goes for jets and larger propeller planes) 50 knots for propeller. You should be in the air a good 5,000 feet.

  1. Reduce thrust, 100 knots
  2. Level off to 4,500 feet
  3. You are 5 miles away from the airport
  4. Turn on your flaps to have 2 more notches left
  5. Reduce thrust, 80 knots (large prop. and small jets) 150 steady (large jets)
  6. When you have the airport in clear view, be sure to be lined up
  7. Maintain 2000 feet (2 miles away from airport)
  8. Turn on your second-to-last degree of flaps
  9. Reduce thrust, 50 knots (large prop. small jets) 90 steady, if possible (large jets)
  10. (large jets ONLY) Reduce thrust to 10% of throttle & arm spoilers if possible (press ? to arm spoilers)
  11. Maintain 1,500 feet  above ground
  12. All Jets: Find the autobrake switch: Put it on 2
  13. You now have the airport 1 mile in sight and are ready to land
  14. 25% thrust for propellers
  15. Descend to line up with the runway
  16. Idle engines (F1)
  17. Put the throttle on reverse, put the nose up when you are about to touch
  18. Turn on brakes  (period key)
  19. Stay on the runway and hold brakes until you come to a complete stop

Congratulations, pilot! Now have fun! Remember

EyeOS - Run a Mac on a PC!

December 13, 2008

I love software that allows you to do something that you normally couldn’t do. Run a Mac on a PC?! All of my viewers know that by now, I am a dye-hard Mac fan. Well, I wanted to tell you that if you can’t afford to run a mac, you aren’t screwed. There is software called EyeOS that allows you to run something like OS X and like Windows Vista. It is easy to install and use too!

Learning to Code a WordPress Theme

December 11, 2008

I have been trying to code my own WordPress theme for a long time now, and could not get started. So, I ordered a DVD from Amazon on how you could create a WordPress theme. (How to Theme WordPress: from Blank to Beautiful in 2 Hours, http://www.amazon.com/How-Theme-WordPress-Blank-Beautiful/dp/B001EDRPOG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1229052179&sr=8-2) The DVD has, unfortunately not arrived yet, but I am looking forward to its arrival.

I believe that coding for WordPress is a fine art, because no where can I find a good book on how do to so! There was a tutorial at some site like jonathonsworld, but it told you exactly what to do… not too custom. I don’t want to complain Jonathon, because you can code a theme, and I cannot! There are not a lot of places to get information, so I figured I would create a list of the best places to get information on how to create a WordPress Theme:

That’s about all I could find! Not a lot of people understand WordPress… this could be not only a great future career, but an important  skill. A lot of content on the web is WordPress. I am doing my part by learning how to create a theme and make a theme… *More details on my WordPress theme to come in the future, preferably when my book arrives
